What gets deleted stops being invisible.
The moment somebody deletes an opportunity from your CRM, the module records it: who, which one and when. It does not prevent deleting — sometimes you must — it prevents deleting without a trace.

Why not just prevent deletion?
Because sometimes you must delete: duplicates, tests, mistaken entries. What must not happen is that nobody knows it happened.
Is Odoo's own history not enough?
The history lives inside the record, so it leaves with it. That is why the record has to be kept separately and at the moment of deletion.
Can what was deleted be recovered?
This module keeps the record, not the content. If what you need is to undo, that is solved with permissions and archiving instead of deletion.
Who can see the log?
That is agreed with you: normally management.
